Process properly

Break free from the prison of your mind:

Be aware of what you let affect you. Be conscious about what resonates with you. Use a gentle inner voice. Be mindful about what thoughts you play on repeat. Question where your thought patterns come from. Be in the now. Meditate.

Get out of your head and into your body. Focus on your feet. Unclench your jaw. Relax your forehead. Move aimlessly through dance. Feel your heart.

Many times when we have racing thoughts that we can’t make sense of, it is because we try to rationalize feelings. Thinking about feelings is not the same as feeling them.

Give yourself some downtime, don’t distract yourself or numb out. However uncomfortable it may be, the way to properly process and let feelings come and go is by feeling them.
